Nancy's Notes September 4, 2008

Library happenings.

Nancy’s notes

As you read this, the city council and library board should have accepted the bid of a contractor for our building project. The time has finally come and we were very happy with all of bids that were submitted. Now on to the good part, construction and a renovated, larger facility. Our ground breaking will be held September 12 at 10:00 a.m. The public is welcome to attend and celebrate with us.

We will begin the moving process on Monday, September 8. The library will then be closed until September 18. Our new location is 910 Central Ave. E. (across from Casey’s). Stop in this week and stock up on reading material to last you while we are closed. Anyone checking out materials on September 5 and 6 may keep those materials until we reopen with no fines charged.

We’d like to thank the community for their support of the project and their patience while we packed up and got ready for relocation. Don’t forget to stop in at our temporary site. We will move almost the entire collection and the computers will also be available when we re-open.

I won’t be submitting articles until we finish our relocation. Keep reading and I’ll be suggesting books once again in a few weeks.
