"A Cousin's Promise" by Wanda Brunstetter, "Texas Chase" by Sandra Brown, "The Mayo Clinic Diet".

Wanda Brunstetter has started her new Indiana Cousins series with, "A Cousin's Promise". The lives of eight Amish cousins and friends are forever changed after a horrific accident leaves Wayne Lambright permanently disabled.  As he struggles to take care of himself, he can't imagine asking his fiancé, Loraine Miller, to attend to his needs.  Determined to sacrifice his happiness to give her a better life, he breaks their engagement.  Lorraine refuses to believe Wayne doesn't love her anymore, but when her old boyfriend returns to the community, Lorraine must decide with whom she should spend her life.


Sandra Brown has written, "Texas Chase", the second in her Texas trilogy. Set against the oil fields of Texas, the story centers around Chase Tyler, a man hardened by life. Chase was the object of Marcie John's affection since grade school.  He felt nothing but friendship for the quiet bookworm.  When it came time to settle down, Chase chose another woman to marry.  Life was good for Chase, and Marcie decided to strive for professional success instead of marriage.  Things take a tragic turn for the Tylers and, in an instant, Chase's life is changed.  Filled by grief and unable to move on, Chase becomes a lost soul.


It isn't a complete order unless we purchase at least one diet book.  This week I'm letting you know about "The Mayo Clinic Diet".  The book discusses five simple habits to help you take off extra weight and five habits to break so that you can keep it from coming back.  They will tell you how to lose weight with a two-week quick-start program, live it with a long-term plan in which you lose 1 to 2 pounds per week, and extra stuff that includes meal planners.  The book puts you in charge of reshaping your body and improving your health.
