Nancy Notes - November 24, 2010
We finally went on-line with our new circulation system. Our staff spent two days last week in a training session. I’m warning you, it was a lot of information in a short amount of time. We all have that “deer in the headlight” look. Everyone has been very patient with us as we fumble around figuring out what to do. I know you will continue to be patient in the next few weeks. Think of your library visit as recreation as we can be entertaining trying to run the new software.
Since we have had such a hectic week this column will be very short. I would like you to mark your calendars with two items.
The first will be our Thanksgiving holiday hours. We will close at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 24 and remain closed throughout the holiday weekend. The library will open at noon on November 29.
We would also like you to mark Tuesday, December 21 on your calendar. Santa will visit the library that evening. He will tell a story or two and children will make a small snack, some kind of Christmas project, and get the opportunity to visit with our jolly guest.
Stop in and see us: Monday through Wednesday between noon and 8:00 p.m. or Thursday through Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Have a great holiday weekend!
