“Breaking the Rules” by Suzanne Brockmann, “These Things Hidden” by Heather Gudenkauf.

Now that the weather is a little warmer maybe you’d like to stop by the library as you go out to get some fresh air. You might enjoy Suzanne Brockmann’s, “Breaking the Rules”. Izzy Zanella is not on good terms with Navy SEAL teammate, Danny Gillman. But when he meets Danny’s younger sister, Eden, he gives her a place to stay, a shoulder to cry on, and offers to marry her when she gets pregnant with another man’s child. But Eden’s miscarriage shatters their life together and intensifies the bad blood between Izzy and Danny. Now Eden is on a mission to rescue her teen brother, Ben, from their abusive stepfather. If she and Izzy can prove that their broken marriage is still in one piece, winning legal custody of Ben is a long shot. Danny offers to help, and he and Izzy agree to bury the past and fight for Ben’s future.
We have a new paperback by Heather Gudenkauf entitled, “These Things Hidden”. When teenager Allison Glenn is sent to prison for a heinous crime, she leaves behind her reputation as a golden girl. Her parents deny her existence and her friends gloat in her downfall. Her sister, Brynn, faces whispered rumors every day in the hallways of their high school. It’s Brynn who carries the burden of what really happened that night. All she wants is to forget Allison and the past that haunts her.
