Nancy's Notes - February 23, 2012
We will once again host a free movie on Tuesday evening. “Breakfast At Tiffany’s” is the final movie in our “Romance Through the Decades” film night. Showtime is at 6:00 p.m. in the library basement. This classic features Audrey Hepburn and it set the style for classic dress in the 60’s. Come and enjoy a free evening of entertainment and a snack.
There are several movies currently in the theaters that we also have in a book format. If you want to read the story either before or after the show, come in and get: “One for the Money”, “The Vow”, “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, or “Twilight”.
We own both the DVD and the book of the following newer movies “The Help”, “The Blindside”, and “Water for Elephants”.
We have a large collection of audio books. If you are going on a trip we will extend the loan period so you can be entertained as you drive down the road. The following books are available along with their audio version: “Language of Flowers”, “Lost December”, and “Love in a Nutshell”.
You might also enjoy any of these new library DVD titles, even if we don’t have the book: “Larry Crowne”, “Courageous”, “Contagion”, “Smurfs”, “Moneyball” or “Planet of the Apes”.
We have over 900 DVD titles available, with a large selection of children’s films included in the collection. All videos can be checked out for two days. There is no charge for any movie returned on time, if you are late there is a small fine.
Come in and see us: Monday through Wednesday between noon and 8:00 p.m. or Thursday through Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m
