Audio books have become popular with our patrons. We recently a dozen new titles they are as follows: The Long Way Home, If I Stay, Heroes Are My Weakness, Mean Streak, The Road To Grace, Walking On Water, Murder 101, The Giver, The Fault Of Our Stars, 2 A.M. at the Cat’s Pajamas, Mr. Mercedes, and The Heist.
The Jessica Fletcher books are always popular with our readers. This time she is back with “Murder, She Wrote: Death of a Blue Blood”. Jessica Fletcher and her friend Scotland Yard detective inspector George Sutherland are invited to attend a New Year’s Eve Ball at Castorbrook Castle. Shortly after arriving in the English countryside, Jessica discovers the body of a lady’s maid in the garden. But that’s just the beginning, as midnight approaches at the ball the next night, the Lord offers a toast, complete with fireworks. But the fun crashes to a halt when he falls ill and dies, apparently poisoned and the number of suspects with a grudge against the lord of the manor sprouts like English ivy.
Fern Michael’s latest is entitled, “Eyes Only”. Spyder Island is home to many of the world's billionaires. Years ago, Gretchen Spyder, daughter of the island's namesake, gave her twin babies up for legal adoption. Now Gretchen and her father are trying to get them back. The twins' adoptive parents are a loving but poor couple, completely outgunned by the Spyders' wealth. Their only hope lies with Myra Rutledge and her formidable Sisterhood, who are as ready as ever to fight the good fight.
