Library Commentary
We have recently added new books to our Junior Fiction section. Come look them over, and if you have any recommendations let us know.
We have 2 new Bad Kitty Series books by Nick Burel.  He started writing Bad Kitty picture books and now has moved up to graphic novel/chapter books about the same Bad Kitty. In "Bad Kitty Goes to the Vet", kitty gets sick and has a grand adventure on his way to the vet between getting in his cat carrier and riding in the car you just never know what this kitty will do.
Another new graphic novel we have is "Dogman Unleased" by Dav Pilkey. Dogman is a new hero on the scene and is still learning the ropes when his archenemy, Petey the cat, starts creating “Cat”astrophies all over the city. Can Dogman save the day?
I’ve been reading an All Iowa Reads recommended by Becky: "Bottomland" by Michelle Hoover.  In the years after WWI, the Hess family of Iowa attempts to rid themselves of the anti-German sentiment staining their name. But when the youngest two daughters vanish in the middle of the night, the family must piece together what happened while struggling to maintain their life on the unforgiving Iowa plains.  In the weeks after Esther and Myrle's disappearance, their siblings desperately search for the sisters, combing the stark farmlands, their neighbors' houses, and the unfamiliar world of far-off Chicago.
Kids 5 and under can come up to the Library for Kids Adventure Time (storytime) on Tuesday Nights from 5:30-6.
Come in and relax on Thursday mornings with us at the Clarion Public Library. We’ll have the coffee pot on and a warm, comfortable place to sit and read a newspaper, magazine or just sit and visit.
