Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris

Is it the perfect marriage? Some might call it true love that Jack and Grace are never apart.  Others might ask why Grace never answers the phone owhy she can never meet for coffee without Jack. And why there are bars on one of the bedroom windows. This book is a thriller that you can’t put down.

Waves of Mercy by Lynn Austin

Austin is an Inspirational writer and returns with a Multi-Generational Historical Novel. As a young girl of seventeen, Geesje de Jonge crossed the ocean with her parents from the Netherlands to settle in the Michigan wilderness. Fifty years later she is asked to write a memoir of her experiences, as the town celebrates its anniversary. She soon uncovers memories and emotions hidden all these years, including her one true love.

Missy has been reading The Princess Diarist that Carrie Fisher wrote and had published right before she passed away. She fondly recounts her parts of her diary she kept while filming Star Wars and about her relationship with Harrison Ford. From the book one gets insights into her views as acting one of the most iconic roles in sci-fi history and a fitting tribute to her life.

Missy has also been reading new Young Adult (YA) book. It is Veronica Roth’s (author of Divergent Series) new book, Carve the Mark. It is a sci-fi thriller about two different alien teenagers living on parts of their home world.  One part is a peace loving culture the other part is a culture of war and fear, but when their fates intertwine, will they fight each other or fight for peace for their world?

Hello again all!  Wyatt back with another look at what I’m reading.

As my lovely wife got me a stack of books for Christmas, I’ve been itching to dig in.  The first one I’ve picked up is Valentine Party Feb. hett.  As part of the Discworld series it is funny and intelligent as well as pleasingly absurd.  If you’re a fan of humor or fantasy I highly recommend any book in the Discworld series.  Of course I’ve also been getting the Tolkien cravings again as well.  And as my wife and I are big Hamilton fans, I’ve been feeling the need to sit down and spend some time with the Hamiltome.  So many good books to read and so little time.

We will be having a Valentine party for the elementary kids on Wednesday, February 8th,from 3pm-4pm. Please call and let us know if your child will attend. We are limited to 30 kids.

The Library has been awarded a grant from Shopko Foundation to buy Legos to start a Lego Club so keep watching for when that will be starting.
