New At The Library:

"American War" by Omar El Akkad. Sarat Chestnut was six years old when the Second American Civil war broke out in 2074. Oil has been outlawed, her home state is half underwater, and drones pass overhead. Her story is told by her nephew, born during the war, now looking back at events that shaped his family and his country.

"Divided We Stand" by Marjorie J. Spruill. The United Nations established International Women’s Year in 1975, and Congress mandated and funded state conferences to elect delegates to attend the National Women’s Conference in Houston in 1977. This book takes a look at the conservative and liberal responses at and about this historic event as well as how they have shaped our views since.

The Library has new audio book editions of "The Stars Are Fire" by Anita Shreve, "Norse Mythology" by Neil Gaiman, "Mississippi Blood" by Greg Iles, and "Into The Water" by Paula Hawkins as well as many more!
