It’s also a good place to keep up with what’s happening at the Library.

The Clarion Public Library has a Facebook page and we post regular updates about what’s going on here.

From programs to weather closings, our Facebook page is a great way to stay on top of current Library events.

Books with a Purpose

Feeling stressed? There’s a book for that! We all need to relax and de-stress sometimes.

Luckily there are many choices to get you pointed in the right direction.

"Don’t feed the Monkey Mind" by Jennifer Shannon. This book uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT),

acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness techniques to help you deal with anxiety.

The mind is like a monkey constantly chattering and jumping here and there, but you don’t have to “feed it”.

"The Living Clearly Method" by Hilaria Baldwin. Hilaria puts forth five simple principles:

Perspective, Breathing, Grounding, Balance, and Letting Go.

Using these goes beyond yoga exercises and into your everyday life to improve health and mental balance.

"Ready, Set, Breathe" by Carla Naumburg. Being a parent is stressful, but this book is designed to help

parents and children relate and cope. Learn how both parents and children can communicate better

and deal with stress and everyday problems.
