New on the shelf
"A Game of Ghosts" by John Connolly. Private detective Jaycob Eklund, an investigator tracking a series of homicides and disappearances linked to reports of hauntings, has gone missing. Now Charlie Parker is tasked with tracking him down by his own F.B.I. agent boss. In his mission Parker will be drawn into a crumbling criminal empire, bargains with angels, and a world where all are pawns.
"Exit Strategy" by Steve Hamilton. Infiltrating WITSEC, the federal witness-protection program, seems like an impossible task. But Nick Mason is going to do it, because it’s the only way to find the men who put his boss behind bars for life. However finding them will be tricky, they’re locked away in a “deep black” location guarded around the clock by U.S. Marshals. Mason must find them to save his boss, all the while being hunted himself by a former ally, and the clock is ticking.
"Sugar" by Kimberly Stuart. Charlie Garrett left her job at a high profile NYC restaurant to help her ex, Avery Michaels, with his new Seattle hotspot, Thrill. It seems like a professional dream, her own kitchen and staff, recognition, everything she always wanted. There is a catch, however, the restaurant is also the filming location of a new reality show. Can Charlie balance her life on and off camera and show the world what a woman can really do in the kitchen?
