"We Shall Not All Sleep" by Estep Nagy. The small Main island of Seven is home to two families, related through marriage but definitely not friendly. The summer of 1964 is filled with the memory of death and the looming specter of treason for the elders of the Hillsinger and Quick families. And left unchecked, save for the servants, the children run wild while the island prepares for the yearly farming.

"Blame" by Jeff Abbott. After a car crash two years ago, Jane is left with amnesia and her friend David is dead. Now a note has been found in Jane’s own handwriting: I wish we were dead together. Now the town has turned on Jane and she has too many questions. Disturbingly, Jane has just received an anonymous note: I know what really happened. I know what you don’t remember…

"Behold the Dreamers" by Imbolo Mbue. Jende Jonga immigrated from Cameroon to the U.S. to build a better life for himself, his wife, and his six year old son. When Jende lands a job as a chauffer for a Lehman Brothers executive he can hardly believe his luck. Even better, his boss’s wife then offers his wife summer work at their Hamptons summer home. Everything seems to be going perfectly for the Jongas, until the collapse of Lehman Brothers. Now they must figure out how to live as their whole world falls apart.
