”The Girl who Takes an Eye for an Eye” by David Lagercrantz.  Lisbeth Salander is serving two months in Flodberga women’s prison for saving the life of a young boy, no matter the means or cost.  Lisbeth also refuses to say anything in her own defense, looking instead to more important matters.  Meanwhile, Mikael Blomkvist visits her every week, receiving tips and leads to follow.  For Mikael this could be an important expose, for Lisbeth it could mean facts about her childhood.  While in a prison system crippled by corruption and essentially run by the inmates, Salander stands for her beliefs no matter what and seeks the truth that may relate to her childhood memories.

“Artemis“ by Andy Weir.  Life is hard on Artemis, first and only city on the moon, at least if you don’t have a lot of money.  So to make ends meet, Jazz Bashara supplements her income as a porter with a bit of harmless smuggling.  However, fate seems to present the perfect crime, just one job and Jazz will be set for life.  Pulling off the impossible lands her square in the middle of a conspiracy for control of nothing less than Artemis itself, and now an even bigger risk may be the only escape.

As the seasons change, don’t forget to capture that natural beauty for the Seasons of Wright County photo contest.  The submission deadline is February 28, more information and sign-up sheets are available at the library and online on our website.
