Check it out @ The Library
If you’re looking to get into the holiday spirit and maybe learn a bit about the library, then we have just the thing for you! The Clarion Public Library is having a holiday open house on December 7 th from 4-6 pm. There’ll be music and refreshments to get you in a festive mood and activities for all ages. You can take a tour of the library, listen to children’s stories, and get a demo of some of our online resources. Come and have a good time with the staff and your fellow library patrons.
New on the Shelf
"Origin" by Dan Brown. Robert Langdon, Harvard professor of symbology and religious iconology, returns in Browns’ latest novel. Langdon is attending an event at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao that promises to “change the face of science forever”. The host of this incredible spectacle is one of Langdon’s first students, billionaire and futurist Edmond Kirsch. But when the presentation descends into unplanned chaos, Langdon must escape to Barcelona following a trail clues to unlock the truth behind Kirsch’s discovery. Beset on all sides by forces looking to silence or control the discovery, can Robert Langdon find the truth, let alone face it?
"The Rooster Bar" by John Grisham. Law school seemed like the ideal way for Mark, Todd, and Zola to change the world. However, the for-profit law school they attend has a reputation for churning out graduates that can’t pass the bar, and is also owned by the same hedge-fund operator that owns the bank handling the student loans. The Great Law School Scam has snared them, and things look bleak with a limited future and crushing debt hanging over their heads. However, there may be a way to expose the bank and the scam, do away with the debt, and maybe even put a little cash in their pockets, even the plan is more than a little crazy.

As the seasons change, don’t forget to capture that natural beauty for the Seasons of Wright County photo contest. The submission deadline is February 28, more information and sign-up sheets are available at the library and online on our website.
