"When the Bishop Needs an Alibi" by Vannetta Chapman. The yearly arrival of sandhill cranes to San Luis Valley in Colorado is an event eagerly awaited by many, including Bishop Henry Lapp. However, his visit to the Monte Vista National Wildlife Refuge results in sighting a body instead of birds. Henrys offer to assist with his ability to draw with photographic precision from only memory could help provide a missing clue to the authorities, but it may also put him and those he cares for in the path of a killer.
"Turtles All The Way Down" by John Green. Sometimes it’s hard to resist a good mystery, and the mystery of fugitive billionaire Russell Pickett is one of the biggest. Therefore, when sixteen-year- old Aza is dragged into investigating by her best friend Daisy, she goes along with the plan thinking the hundred thousand dollar reward is a nice incentive. Now the two friends just have to get to the next part of the plan, Russell Pickett’s son, Davis.
"The Proving" by Beverly Lewis. Amanda Dienner has been living her own life, away from where and how she grew up, for the last five years. Learning of her mother’s recent passing comes as a shock, but not as much as the news that her mother left her Lancaster County’s most popular Amish bed-and-breakfast. Of course there are conditions to be fulfilled before Amanda can truly take possession, namely that she must run the inn successfully for twelve months. Now Amanda must deal with running the inn, the family she left behind, and customers expecting an Amish hostess.
