New On the Shelf

The President is Missing by Bill Clinton and James Patterson.  The enemies of America are planning an attack of a scale and scope hitherto unprecedented in history.  Washington echoes with whispers of cyberterrorism, espionage, and the possibility of traitors in the cabinet.  Perhaps even more shocking, the President himself comes under intense scrutiny, and then disappears.  Written with former President Bill Clinton, the events of The President is Missing are within the realm of possibility.  The former President provided knowledge and perspective previously unavailable to any outside the Oval Office.

Turbulence by Stuart Woods.  Wild weather puts a damper on a Florida vacation for Stone Barrington and friends.  Worse than the weather, the storm blows a particularly noxious politician directly onto Stone’s doorstep.  The meeting, though short, can’t end soon enough for Stone and the shady official.  Unfortunately for Stone, that politicians friends have some less than benign plans in store and Stone will have to get in close to find out just what is in store.  It’ll take all the cunning and courage Stone can muster to end the audacious plot, and even then it may not be enough.

The Word is Murder by Anthony Horowitz.  The mother of a famous actor, Diana Cowper has just entered a funeral home to plan her own funeral.  Several hours later she is found strangled with a curtain cord.  On the case is police detective Daniel Hawthorn, a brilliant and eccentric investigator with a sharp tongue and a nose for trouble.  As well as working on the case, Hawthorn decides to document his life, which requires a ghostwriter.  Drawn in to both the work and the case against his will, writer Anthony Horowitz soon finds himself entangled helplessly in web of secrets and intrigue he cannot hope to escape.

We also just got in quite a few new large print books and audiobooks.  If you prefer a larger print when reading or just like to listen to a good book we have you covered with both new releases and classic favorites.
