New On the Shelf in Large Print

A Thing of Beauty by Lisa Samson.  A former child star tries to find herself but ends up with a mansion full of projects.  Perhaps the blacksmith renting a room from her can help with both.

The Clasp by Sloane Crosley.  Three friends reunite at the end of their twenties at a wedding.  A story from the grooms’ mother leads to travel and adventure, or a wild goose chase.

Searching for Grace Kelly by Michael Callahan.  New York in the 1950’s forms the backdrop for the stories of three young women coming together to carve out their places in the world.

Lawyer for the Dog by Lee Robinson.  Sally is a good lawyer, even when dealing with her mother, ex-husband, and troublesome clients.  She’ll even do her best for her current client, Sherman, the miniature schnauzer.

Ziegfeld Girls by Sarah Barthel.  Two women separated by race and class, but brought together as sisters by friendship.  A chance to be Ziegfeld girls damages the friendship while forcing the two to work together.

The Space Between Sisters by Mary McNear.  Though vastly different, Win and Poppy were close as sisters could be.  Years later both return to where they spent so many summers, looking an escape back to happier times.

Daughters for a Time by Jennifer Handford.  Through a traumatic childhood and the struggle to conceive, Helen struggled.  Resigning herself to adoption, she soon finds joy with her new baby, even while another family tragedy looms.

Happening @ The Library

Summer Reading is in full swing!  If your kids haven’t gotten their summer reading logs yet, drop by the library to pick one up.  Completing the reading challenges earns chances for fun prizes.  Teens are encouraged to stop by and enter a drawing for a weekly prize.  We’ll also have cool events all summer long so keep an eye out at the library, the paper, and our Facebook page for details.

Monday July 9th Mojo Productions will be at the library as part of our Summer Reading program!
