The Next Person You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom.  Annie escaped the accident that killed Eddie, but not without scars both physical and mental.  Her left hand was reattached, but she cannot remember the circumstances of the accident.  Her mother, wracked by guilt, tries to keep her safe from the world but there will always be bullies and Annie’s vague disquiet about the gap in her memories.  As the years pass and Annie finds love with a childhood sweetheart, her story seems to be a happy one.  However, a horrific accident on her wedding night will lead to a reunion with Eddie and her own journey of discovery.

Open Your Eyes by Paula Daly.  Jane wants everything to be fine.  No real worries, no fighting, easy problems, and it should stay that way.  When Jane and her children witness her husband, Leon, viciously attacked in their driveway, however, Jane has to admit that things are most definitely not fine.  With her husband in a coma, Jane must confront the problems that have been building to a boiling point, and shine an unwelcome light on secrets that have remained in the dark for far too long.

The Truth Itself by James Rayburn.  What do a shooting in Vermont, the death of an American journalist in Syria, and a jet exploding in Thailand have to do with each other?  They all lead back to Kate Swift, a former CIA assassin and current whistleblower.  Not everyone is happy with Kate’s career change, and now Kate and her daughter must cross the Canadian border and make their way to Berlin, then on to Thailand.  Kate isn’t just running from those who want her secrets to die with her, she must find the one man who can hopefully keep her and her daughter alive, Harry Hook.  The ex-CIA case officer has been hiding from his disgrace and the world in the jungles of Thailand, but perhaps he can save Kate and her daughter while earning the redemption he himself yearns for.
