New On the Shelf

The library has recently received a new batch of large print books!  With a wide selection of authors and subjects there should be something for almost any reader.

Secrets in Summer by Nancy Thayer.  Memorial Day weekend is always a bit crazy on Nantucket.  However, can year-round resident Darcy deal with having her ex-husband as her summer neighbor and a potential romance with a handsome vacationer?

The Loyal Heart by Shelly Shepard Gray.  A former Confederate officer sets out to make good on a promise to a friend who didn’t make it out of the war, to look after his wife.  Restoring the seemingly broken spirit of the beautiful widow and the damage done to his friends’ good name might just be easier than denying his building feelings.

A Man Called Sunday by Charles G. West.  The money was the only reason Luke Sunday agreed to be a scout for the Army.  When the soldiers attack a peaceful Cheyenne village, Luke speaks out against it and ends up in the sights of outlaw Bill Bogart.

McKnight in Shining Armor by Tami Hoag.  After her divorce, Kelsie threw herself into her work as a high-end animal wrangler.  When even a chimpanzee-fueled disaster can’t dampen Alexanders’ attraction to her, Kelsie finds herself in uncharted relationship waters.

The Boat Rocker by Ha Jin.  His exposes and writing in general haven’t made Feng Danlin any friends among the Communist officials of his homeland.  His newest writing assignment just happens to be targeting the morally suspect actions of his ex-wife, and may end up making him even enemies that are far more powerful.

The Vanishing by Wendy Webb.  Her husband lost their money and his life, and now Julia is wondering how she is going to carry on when a job offer lands on her doorstep.  Acting as caretaker to a retired horror writer seems almost too good to be true, and when strange clues begin to add up Julia finds herself wondering just how much more there is to this job.
